The return of football season was marked with the annual Football Frenzy that took place on August 23rd. Panther Pride was in full effect as Cabot Red took on Cabot White. Last year, Football Frenzy was cancelled due to the weather conditions, so the city of Cabot was ecstatic to see their team back in action. This was the first time that Cabot got to see the new team in its first year under new head coach Scott Reed.

Reed replaces the recently retired Mike Malham in the head job this season. The scrimmage was filled with touchdowns, big plays, and excitement from the fans.

Cabot White played on the defensive side featuring many big hits from players such as Junior Cooper Melder while Cabot Red played on the offensive was led by Junior Quarterback Tyler Gee and their respective teams played to the best of their abilities. Senior Kicker, Rhett Thurman, was heavily featured in Friday’s game converting field goals and booting away punts. Panther Stadium was filled to the very top with fans coming from all over Cabot.
