Battle with Bryant

Tristan Bates, Staff Member

Last Friday, the Panthers took on the unbeaten Bryant Hornets who were looking to continue their streak. The Panthers came into the game with a 5-2 record while Bryant came in at 7-0. The Bryant offense came out firing putting up 24 points in the first quarter making the score 24-0. Bryant would add an additional field goal at the start of the second quarter making the score 27-0 but the Panthers would not be shut out. Junior Quarterback Tyler Gee would complete a pass to Senior Tight End Logan Bell to put Cabot on the board. Thanks to a Junior Jared Whitman field goal as time expired the score would be 27-10 at halftime.

The Panthers put up a valiant effort but the Bryant offense was too much as the final score would end up 55-10 with Bryant remaining unbeaten. The Panthers are now 5-3 and will travel to Fort Smith as they take on the Northside Grizzlies this Friday at 7 P.M and look to keep their playoff hopes alive.
