Club rush is an important part of Cabot High School. It offers every student the opportunity to join up and participate in some fun school activities. Club Rush will be held in the school courtyard, August 31.
There are many clubs offered at CHS. From the Art Club to Cruzers and SkillsUSA, students have the choice of exploring many different areas.
Principal Anglea Beason said, “Club Rush is a time where clubs can show themselves off, and it gives kids a little niche.”
There are four new clubs this year, The Anatomist Team, The Poets Society, The Cabot Literature Club, and Cabot Students For Life.
The Anatomist Team, run by Denise Amis, is looking into more medical procedures, lessons on the medical field, and medical career pathways.
The Poets Society, run by Melinda Asewicz, is a club that allows students to share their appreciation for the art of poetry.
Cabot Literature Club, run by Zachary Boyd provides a place where the members may share and recommend many pieces of literature they like. The CLC may help its members voice their opinions as well.
The Cabot Students for Life, run by Ricardo Souza, is a club where students work to give back to the community. The purpose of this club is to save lives threatened by induced abortion, euthanasia, and the destruction of human embryos for research. This may help to promote respect for CHS from a local level to a national level.
