It was a cloudy cool Friday evening in Little Rock as JA Fair preparatory school hosted the football game for CHS and Little Rock Central. The Panthers were a powerhouse throughout the entire game, winning with a final score of 27-0.
The first quarter began with Joel Dunn kicking off for Central. Within eight minutes and 44 seconds into the game, Charlie Powell handed the ball to Keegan Vest, who then pushed his way through the Tigers defense into the end zone. The Panthers got the first touchdown of the game, and the only touchdown of the quarter. Dean Heyer kicked an extra point.
The score for the first quarter was 7-0.
During the second quarter no gains were made with the final score for the first half holding at 7-0.
The Panthers powerhoused during the third quarter. Seven minutes into the third quarter, Cael Turner handed the ball to Amari Criner who broke down the Tigers’ defense and pushed his way into the end zone. Heyer kicked for an extra point, but unfortunately it was no good.
After one minute on the clock had passed, Charlie Powell handed the ball off to his brother Cooper Powell, who then ran the ball around Central’s defense and gave Cabot the final touchdown of the quarter. Heyer secured the extra point. The score for the third quarter was 20-0.
During the fourth quarter, Cabot scored the final touchdown of the game. Cael Turner handed the ball to Amari Criner who sprinted his way into the end zone having Cabot fans on their feet screaming in victory. Heyer kicked the final extra point.
The final score for the game was 27-0, with the Cabot Panthers claiming victory after losing to Conway this prior week.
