On Thursday, the Cabot Panther Swim team competed against Bryant, North Little Rock, Searcy, Russellville, Conway, Vilonia, Maumelle, Sylvan Hills, Lonoke, and Apaches at Home. Cabot placed Second combined and both men and women placed second.
To begin the Cabot Invitation Meet, the Women’s 200 Medley A Relay: Juliyana Fear, Kyndall Howard, Grace Esteban and Cayla Garcia, placed first. Their seed time was a 2:05.21 and cut a little over 2 seconds, swimming a 2:02.58.
The Men’s 200 Medley A Relay that consisted of James Bolton, Caden Niece, Jacob Hertzog and Elijah Young, placed first. They cut close to one second with their seed time being a 1:50.43 and then swimming a better time of 1:49.75.
Howard placed second in the Women’s 200 Free. She swam a 2:20.32 which unfortunately was almost 6 seconds slower than her seed time, 2:14.31.
Niece placed first in the Men’s 200 Free. He swam a personal best going a 1:54.93, cutting close to 2 seconds off of his seed time, 1:56.19.
Esteban placed first in the Women’s 200 IM. Esteban swam a 2:24.63 making that her personal best with no seed time.
Niece placed first in the Men’s 200 IM. With his seed time being a 2:20.22, he cut close to 13 seconds off swimming a personal best of 2:07.68.
In the Women’s 50 Free, Garcia placed first and Esteban placed second. Garcia swam her personal best with the time 25.73, cutting close to 2 seconds with a seed time of 27.72. Esteban swam a 25.77 cutting a little over one second off of her seed time, 26.72.
Garcia placed second in the Women’s 100 Fly. She swam a personal best, a 1:09.53 and had no seed time.
Hertzog placed second in the Men’s 100 Fly. His seed time was a 1:02.61, and cut close to 4 seconds off swimming a personal best going a 57.39.
Fear placed first in the Women’s 100 Free swimming, a personal best of 1:01.62, cutting close to 2 seconds off her seed time, 1:02.51.
Fear placed first in the Women’s 500 free. Fear cut a little over 5 seconds, with her seed time being a 6:10.33, Fear swam a personal best going a 6:05.05.
Young placed second in the Men’s 500 Free. Young swam his personal best, swimming a 5:47.74. Young cut close to 7 seconds off of his seed time, 5:54.85.
The Women’s Free A Relay that consisted of Kaylie McKenzie, Alyson Beason, Garcia and Esteban, placed first. Their seed time was a 1:52.31 and improved their time to a 1:49.66, cutting almost 3 seconds.
Howard placed third in the Women’s 100 Back. Howard swam a personal best with the time of 1:12.75, cutting a little more than 3 seconds off of her seed time which was a 1:15.97.
Kyle Lu placed first in the Men’s 100 Breast. Lu did not have a seed time for the 100 Breast. He swam a personal best with the time of 1:11.60.
The Women’s 400 Free A Relay consisted of Sara Davis, Brianna Mahoney, Howard and Fear took second. The Relay unfortunately added time. The Relay’s seed time was 4:18.60 and a little over 4 seconds swimming 4:23.10.
The final event for the meet was the Men’s 400 Free A Relay which consisted of Hertzog, Young, Bolton and Niece and placed first. With the seed time of 3:46.76, the A Relay was close to cutting 10 seconds off and swimming a personal best of the time 3:37.95.
Next meet will be on Thursday 16th and will be hosted by the University of Conway. Cabot will be competing against Conway, Little Rock Central, Central Arkansas Christian, and Conway Christian.
