Cabot Theater Productions worked hard for the preparation of Elf the Musical.
Buddy the Elf was raised by elves in the North Pole. The day arrived when Santa told Buddy that he was not an elf, and traveled to the real world to find his father.
This show had been in the making since the end of the school year of 2023. Auditions were held earlier this year, and all the roles were filled quickly.
The Theater class was not the only class working hard to make Elf happen. Stagecraft also put in a lot of effort to create the set and work behind the scenes.
Sophomores Ayden Tatum and Cayden Schales said they were surprised that they were producing Elf this year.
Tatum and Schales were also both surprised that Cabot Theater chose Elf.
“I would say I’m surprised, I didn’t know if they could pull it off,” Schales said. “It’s a difficult thing to do.”
Tatum was also excited about the production.
“I was also surprised, it’s just, I’ve been slacking the past couple of years, and this one’s pretty good,” Tatum said.
Sophomore Maddox McCory on the other hand, expected this show.
“I kind of expected it ’cause I got told they were going to do it,” McCrory said.
Two of the students stated the movie Elf is their favorite movie to watch during Christmas time.
“Elf’s a good movie, I got one statement about it,” McCrory said. “It’s in my top two favorite Christmas movies and it isn’t two.”
It seemed that McCrory was not the only one who thought that.
“I can second that,” Schales said.
