The Cabot Panther swim team hosted their yearly Cabot Winter Classic and senior night competition last week against Batesville, Sylvan Hills, Lake Hamilton, Vilonia, Maumelle, eStem and Heber Springs. The Cabot team honored their seniors at the event: Grace Esteban, Sara Davis, Juliyana Fear, Cayla Garcia, Elijah Young, Aiden Strassner, and Kyle Lu.
Cabot combined teams placed first at the meet. Batesville came in second, followed by Sylvan Hills. The Panther Women placed first in their division with ten gold, six silver, and five bronze medals with the top four finishers taking home a total of 16 medals.. Their Men counterparts placed second with five gold, four silver, and four bronze medals.
The Women’s 200 Medley A Relay garnered gold and the Women’s 200 Medley B Relay nabbed the silver.
The Men’s 200 Medley A Relay placed second.
Kyndall Howard placed first in the Women’s 200 Free.
Garcia placed first in the Women’s 200 IM.
Esteban nabbed the top spot in the Women’s 50 Free, with Elizabeth Esteban coming in second.
Strassner placed third in the Men’s 50 Free.
Fear took first in the Women’s 100 Fly and Howard garnered a second place ribbon.
Jacob Hertzog placed second in the Men’s 100 Fly.
Garcia took the gold in the Women’s 100 Free, while Davis stole the bronze.
Caden Niece placed first in the Men’s 100 Free.
Bri Mahoney took second in the Women’s 500 Free, followed by Ella Campell in third .
Hertzog placed first in the Men’s 500 Free.
Fear placed first in the Women’s 100 Back. Elizabeth Esteban netted second.
James Bolton placed second in the Men’s 100 Back.
Grace Esteban nabbed first in the Women’s 100 Breast.
Niece placed first in the Men’s 100 Breast.
The Women’s 400 Free A Relay placed first and the Women’s 400 Free B Relay placed second. The Men’s 400 Free A Relay also took second in their category.
