On Monday, February 5, the CHS Administration adjusted the bell schedule for the last four classes of the day, by adding three minutes onto each class. This is due to the fact that there may be more snow/ice during the month of February. After the last snow storm that had CHS students and staff out for a week, the Administration wanted the Cabot Public Schools to be prepared in case there would be another winter storm. This would help prevent extra days being taken out of the students’ spring and summer break.
Students have mixed feelings with the new schedule change. Some students like junior Hayden Mittlestat prefer the new schedule over the previous schedule.
“I actually prefer it, rather than having extra days added to the end of the school year. I don’t like it, but I will take it over the alternative,” Mittlestat said. “My extracurriculars have me stay after school, so it doesn’t impact those.”
Senior Nicolas Mireland thinks that the new bell schedule isn’t that great.
Mireland said, “I think it sucks because I have to stay here for ten more minutes. It just sucks. I would like it to go back to the way it was.”
The students at CHS will have to continue with the new bell schedule until the end of the school year.
