This past Thursday, the Cabot High School swim team traveled to Bryant to compete in the 6A Central Conference Championship.
Cabot competed against Conway, Central (Little Rock), Bryant, North Little Rock, Catholic, Jonesboro Senior, Catholic/Mt Saint Mary, and Southwest (Little Rock).
To start the meet, seniors on each team were presented .
Cabot’s Women placed third with a total of 356.5 points, two gold medals, three silver medals, and one bronze medal.
Gold Medals: 100 Fly, Grace Esteban-58.69. 100 Breast, Grace Esteban, 1:10.90.
Silver Medals: 200 Medley A Relay, Juliyana Fear, Cayla Garcia, Grace Esteban, Elizabeth Esteban-1:58.32. 400 Free A Relay, Garcia, Howard, Fear, Grace Esteban-3:58.54.
Bronze Medals: 50 Free, Garcia-25.80. 200 Free A Relay, Kyndall Howard, Alyson Beason, Sara Davis, and Elizabeth Esteban-1:49.95. 100 Breast, Garcia-1:15.41.
Cabot’s Men’s team placed fourth with a total of 238 points, one silver medal, and three bronze medals.
Silver medal: 100 Breast, Caden Niece-1:04.28.
Bronze Medals: 200 Medley A Relay, Kyle Lu, Niece, Jacob Hertzog, and James Bolton-1:48.58. 200 IM, Niece-2:07.24. 100 Fly, Hertzog,-56.02.
The Bentonville Community Center will be hosting the last meet of the season, the Centennial Bank Arkansas 6A State Championship meet. Cabot will be competing against Bentonville, Central (Little Rock), Fayetteville, Bentonville West, Har-Ber, Conway, Bryant, North Little Rock, Springdale, Catholic, Fort Smith Southside, Rogers, Heritage, and Catholic/Mt Saint Mary.
