This past weekend, the swim team left on the 23rd after 6th period to Bentonville for the 6A State Championship.
The team carb loaded for dinner and Saturday morning went to a park to kill some time before the meet.
Swimmers warmed up at 3:30 p.m and the meet started at 4:00 p.m.
Cabot competed against Bentonville, Central-LR, Bentonville West, Fayetteville, Har-Ber, Conway, Bryant, North Little Rock, Springdale, Catholic, Rogers, Heritage, Fort Smith Northside, Fort Smith Southside, and Catholic/Mt Saint Mary.
The Men’s team placed 9th with 97.5 points.
The Men’s 200 Medley Relay: Kyle Lu, Caden Niece, Jacob Hertzog, and James Bolton, placed 6th with the time 1:49.23.
The Women’s team placed 7th with one bronze medal and 242 points.
The Women’s 200 Medley relay: Juliyana Fear, Cayla Garcia, Grace Esteban, and Elizabeth Esteban, placed sixth swimming a personal best, 1:59.61.
Grace Esteban placed 4th in the Women’s 50 Free with the time, 25.35.
Grace Esteban placed 3rd in the Women’s 100 Fly, swimming a 59.39.
The Women’s 400 Free relay: Garcia, Kyndall Howard, Fear, and Grace Esteban placed 5th, swimming another personal record, 3:53.42.
The 2023-2024 season has reached the end and now upcoming seniors will help support the underclassmen while they train for the next season.
