Amid the Cabot High School’s theater, you can find Seagan De Oliveira going through the ropes in the ensemble.
Oliveira was a resident of Cabot since she was born. Ever since she was little, she wanted to act on a stage and star in a movie
“When I was a kid, I thought that being an actress would be so cool but I could never imagine myself being in front of a camera,” Oliveira said. “In seventh grade, I joined the forensics team and that helped me get over my fear quickly.”
Even now, she thought about furthering her education in acting past high school and into her career.
“If I could get myself into that position, I would absolutely love to get into a movie,” Oliveira said.
She has gotten her wish to have the opportunity to officially act in a locally filmed movie Mouse. Mouse is a movie about two girls in high school, they go through something “dramatic,” according to Oliveria, and this challenges their friendship and changes them forever.
Though she is only a background character in the movie, she has a chance to be like her idols. Her inspiration was widespread with many different actors, but she managed to number it down to four actors.
“I have multiple, Marco Robby, Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, and Rachel McAdams,” Oliveira said.
Oliveira was not only good on the stage, Rhonda Burlin, Oliveira’s English teacher claims that she is a good student off stage.
“She is an outgoing intellectual who is always involved in discussions,” Burlin said. “I thought it was so special to have someone acting in a movie in my class, but I am not surprised. She is a really special young lady.”
