On November 16, the Cabot Archery Club participated in the NASP Individual tournament hosted at Southwest Christian Academy in Geyer Springs Arkansas. The club returned successful, taking first place with a team score of 3,245 out of 3,600.
Cabot blew past the other archers taking the top three places in the high boys division. Coming in first place is junior Hunter Patton with a score of 278 and shot 13 bullseyes. Senior Gabriel Miller scored 276 and shot bullseyes, securing his rank in second place. Junior Trey Jones took third place with an overall score of 276 and shot 9 bullseyes.
In the high girls division, one archer from Cabot made the top three. Junior Brooklyn Carmical placed first with a score of 286 and shot 16 bullseyes.
In the 3D section of the tournament, one Cabot archer placed. Jones shot a total score of 265, securing his place in second place.
This tournament also allowed archers to shoot JOAD; Junior Olympic Archery Development. Cabot out-shot everyone and took the top three places. Carmical took first place with a score of 203, Patton in second place with a score of 169, and Jones in third place with a score of 160.
Several high school archers participated and earned a bullseye medal for shooting 10 or more bullseyes.
Archers who shot 10 bullseyes include sophomore Addyson Wideman and Aiden Copely. Senior Xander McCormick and junior Hunter Patton both shot 13 bullseyes. Senior Gabriel Miller Shot 14 bullseyes and junior Brooklyn Carmical shot 16 bullseyes.
