As the final days of summer come to an end and students return to school, one thing we can all agree on is that the summer of 2025 was a break full of sunshine, adventure, and much needed rest.
Whether it’s summer jobs, camps, vacations, or just sleeping in, the break offers us all something. For most students, summer break isn’t just time off from school, but a chance to recharge, reset, and go on many adventures beyond the classroom. Senior Jaylee Covey had a very stress free summer.
“The best part of summer to me, is the privilege of not having to worry about school work,” Covey said.
Others took up time to focus on personal growth. Some students enjoyed hobbies like painting, shopping, bowling, swimming, etc. While others like senior Liliana Zamora-Glass took up jobs over the summer,
“The thing I enjoyed most about this summer was going to work,” Zamora-Glass said.
Of course summer break also gave many students the opportunity to connect more with family and friends. Most students reported spending time with the people they love is the best part of their break.
Now as we pack our backpacks getting ready for the new school year, the memories of this summer will never be forgotten.
