Cabot High School implemented a new tardy policy, allowing students three tardies per nine weeks rather than the previous seven. There has been a lot of backlash regarding this new policy from students.
Senior Andrei Leprozo had concerns about the new tardy policy.
“I think that it is not fair to the sophomores, cause seniors and juniors know the layout, but sophomores don’t,” Leprozo said.
Sophomores seemed to have trouble getting used to the new campus, especially with fewer days to get used to it, and have concerns that the tardy allowance owes not enough
Sophomore Aiden Ashley shared, “I think that only being allowed three tardies for a whole nine weeks is unfair.”
Though most students seem to be having trouble, a few thought the new tardy policy was beneficial, such as senior Andrew Sawyer.
“I think that the new tardy policy will actually hold students accountable to be on time for class,” Sawyer said.
