Many Cabot drivers believed that the city of Cabot had problems with traffic and
roads. Opinions on the road conditions ranged from the amount of traffic at one time to the upkeep of roads.
Some of the students believed that the problem was the abundance of traffic, one of these students was senior Skylar Burtts.
“Too many people are going to the same place at the same time,” Burtts said.
Sophomore Landon Sortomme believed that the condition of the road was the problem.
“The potholes are becoming a problem on my ever-so-degrading tires,” Sortomme said.
Junior Julie Boyd believed that other people’s driving skills were not quite up to par.
“How people drive is insane,” Boyd said.
Boyd believed that there could be improvements made to the design of the road.
“They should add more roundabouts and not as many stop signs,” Boyd said.
Richard Gentry, a seasoned substitute teacher, identified good and bad issues with the city of Cabot’s road development.
“The light at 2nd and Main needs to be changed; sometimes it holds up traffic,”
Gentry said. “The traffic seems to move well in general.”
Medical teacher Bailey Collins’ viewpoint coincided with many others’ opinions
as well.
“The problem is it’s the end of the day and people are in a rush,” Collins said. “There are not enough lanes for the number of people.”
