If you spend any time on social media, you’ve probably seen the “6’7” meme popping up everywhere, from TikTok, Instagram, or Twitter posts. But what exactly is this meme about, and why is everyone talking about being 6 feet 7 inches tall?
The “6’7” meme emerged in early 2025. It rose to popularity thanks to a rap song, NBA basketball, and a viral video of a young boy, Mason, repeatedly saying the phrase. Although often considered nonsensical, its humor stems from its randomness.
On social media, the memes showed up in all kinds of hilarious ways. People shared jokes about bumping their heads on door frames, struggling to find clothes that fit, or towering over friends and strangers. Some posts made fun of everyday problems, like trying to fit into cars or airplane seats.
6’7 became a big part of the Cabot High School community. It was a joke that everyone would hear at least once a day. 6’7 was a way to connect the students. Senior Jaxon Smith was a big fan of the 6’7 meme.
“6’7 is a great addition to Cabot High School,” Smith said. “It’s the funniest thing ever.”
As memes go, the “6’7” joke showed no signs of slowing down. Whether you’re tall, short, or somewhere in between, it was a fun reminder that sometimes the best humor came from the things that made no sense — even if that thing is just being a little taller than average.
