Memorials give a way for past events to stay alive. On September 11, JROTC members joined together in front of Cabot High School to raise the flag in honor of those who passed on 9/11. At least one member was on shift to guard the flag at half-mast throughout the day.
Students and faculty were invited to join the ceremony. Sophomore Fatima Ali stood in front of the tribute to pay respects.
“I loved what they did for 9/11,” Ali said. “One of my Aunts worked in the South tower, so it was nice to honor her.”
