Cabot High School always hosted spectacular musicals. The theatre program took what they did very seriously, and still had fun doing it.
Very fun memories and experiences were made by Cabot theatre students whenever they did a musical. Specifically, the 2024 musical Mary Poppins, changed the lives of those students.
Cast members felt like family, and Senior Hanna Ralston had the honor to experience that.
“I played the role of Valentine,” Ralston said. “My favorite thing about being in Mary Poppins is being with all my friends.”
Loving the atmosphere, Sophomore Nathan Inman collected a souvenir of memories when he had been in the musical.
“The community we created was so healthy, and we all loved each other,” Inman said. “The kitchen scene brings back much laughter.”
The moves made the show what it was. Senior Cooper Spaulding appreciated the choreography that had been offered.
“The choreography was beyond amazing,” Spaudling said. “I think that the ensemble was such an important part of the show. The reactions from the audience were phenomenal.”
The sights were very important for any set. Senior Quartez Stevenson loved the scenes that were made.
“The scenery was very well made,” Stevenson said. “Being on stage for the first time was one of those memorable moments for me.”
Along the way, junior Kaylee Bagley relished the friends.
“I came to love the group of people who got cast along with me,” Bagley said, “We are still friends to this day, and that makes me so happy.”
Theatre is about creativity. Junior Juliana Bridges enjoyed the art of the show.
“The tech crew really did their thing with the lights throughout the musical,” Bridges said. “I thought that the costumes were very cute and fitting of the vibe.”
