Rocket Launch Denied. Senior Zhane Harper and Junior Hayden Matthews stops Catholic quarterback Cooper Monroe in the fourth quarter. Catholic ran twenty plays inside of Cabot’s twenty yard line and still trailed 13-9 late in the fourth quarter. Zhane Harper finished the game with fourteen tackles including one tackle for a loss, two pass breakups and one interception to start off the second half of the game. “We really stepped up when we needed us to and really shut them down when we got put in bad situations,” Harper said. “I couldn’t have been more proud of our defense.”

The Panther’s defense were able to get the stop they needed, but the offense was unable to capitalize on the opportunities. The offense had a total of 6 fumble losses, but the defense was able to keep the rockets out of the end zone. Halfbacks TJ Rogers and Graham Turner were the two scorers for the Cabot offense in last week’s game. Roger’s score tied the game in the first half 7-7 and Turner’s touchdown gave the Panthers the lead early in the second half 13-7. Sammy Johnson led the Rockets to the victory with over two hundred yards rushing and a touchdown. The Panthers will once again have their chance at Malham’s 300 against the Fort Smith Southside Mavericks.
