Cabot’s Got Talent

Sponsored by Mike and Cindy Stinett from Windows and More, the Cabot Panther Foundation hosted its first district employee talent show on Tuesday, September 25. Ward Central Elementary Principal, Andy Sullivan, and Westside Elementary Principal, Sherrie Jennings, emceed for the the evening.
There were seven performances all together, some solos and some groups. The acts ranged from singing and dancing to baton twirling to ballet and more. Chuck Massey and his group won the $1000 first place prize. Massey emulated Elvis Presley and sang “Hound Dog,” with his girls dancing along behind him. “I am so excited that we won,” Massey exclaimed, “this is amazing.” Tina Latimer and the band Faultine performed the song, ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ by Guns N’ Roses. Lead singer Latimer and the band won the second place prize, $500. “We are just happy to have been given the opportunity to perform here in front of an audience,” Latimer said.
Many guests came out to support their performing friends and family members. Tickets were $10, and all proceeds from the talent show will help the Cabot Panther Foundation fund many requests in order to benefit the students of the Cabot School District.
