Tea Party

Seniors recreate a British style tea-party. While they ate snacks and drank tea, they played a familiar card game. “Life is full of chances,” Senior Kaylee Vent states. “Sometimes you only need to take UNO!”

Students from different English classes brought small foods and various types of teas for the British Tea party in the Loft. Students shared treats from brownies to cucumber sandwiches. “Having a tea party in celebration of ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’,” English teacher Dondra James said. “We are teaching the importance of manners.”

This event was created for students to take a break from normal classroom activities, and to instead play board games, eat, and watch the live action movie of  ‘The Importance of Being Earnest.’ This party lasted all class period. “We are more relaxed here than what is formal there so we can have some fun, but it’s to show what it would be like during that time,” English teacher Charles Johnson said.
