Senior Rhett Thurman is one of the best kickers in the nation but his journey to the top was certainly not the easiest. During his sophomore year, Rhett would have a punt blocked and as he ran to try and recover the ball he would be hit from the side snapping his leg in half.  He would do everything he could to recover. “All I did for three months was lift and stretch and I’ve never done that before.” Thurman came back stronger than ever and last season he was ranked among the top 5 kickers nationally and has already had a strong start to his Senior season. Thurman hopes to continue his success throughout his last year of high school and continue playing football throughout college.
