Return of the Ramen

The 2018-2019 school year introduced a new option for lunch, the Ramen Noodle Bar. The bar has been brought back this year much too many students and staff’s delight.

“My favorite flavor would have to be chicken, but I would love to have shrimp flavored ramen,” senior Makayla Moreland says. “To me, that was the only food that was fresh when lunch was ready, yet the noodles weren’t cooked all the way.” She also adds, “I would love to have it back, but change it to every Tuesday instead of every other Tuesday.”

“My favorite flavor was beef,” senior Audra Gibson says. “I would love to have pork flavored ramen, yet I love having the ramen bar back, but it should be every Tuesday.”

“My favorite flavor of ramen would be the spicy flavors,” Art teacher, Helen Goodman states. “I did not have any issues with it. I loved it. I also enjoyed the way that they serve it because we would get bored of it being served everyday. This is the first school that I have ever taught at that had a ramen bar. I was so excited because I love ramen.”

Many other CHS teachers have positive opinions. Mrs. Tammy Gately fits into that category.

“I got the beef broth and I was extremely excited when we got it back this year,” Gately states. “I didn’t have any issues. I absolutely love it.”

Cafeteria staffer, Ms. Ginger, is the manager over the caf stat and in charge of the Ramen Bar.

“I believe that the Ramen bar was a huge success last year,” Mrs. Ginger says.  “I believe that since it was something new, so everyone was wanting to try it. Most people are scared to try new things, so it was about the same amount of people in each line. Some people are scared, and they stayed in the chicken line.”

“I really did enjoy having the ramen bar,” Mrs. Jamie Petty says. “I believe most people were excited to have it back this year. It’s different than the chicken line, and the Taco Tuesday, so the ramen bar had a little change to lunch.”

The Ramen Bar is scheduled to be an option for students and staff every 6 weeks.
