Tale of Two Games

Last Friday, the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats traveled to Panther Arena, as the Panthers were looking to kickstart a momentum wave. The Lady Panthers were able to bounce back after a hard 30 point loss to Northside and were able to shut down the Charging Wildcat offense. The Lady Panthers, led by Senior Guards Shy Christopher and Izzy Arnold, were able to shoot 55 percent from the field while holding the Charging Wildcats to under 40 percent. The Lady Panthers were able to pick up the 59 to 41 victory moving to 17-3 on the season.

The Panthers, however, had a much different experience in their contest. The Charging Wildcats got off to an early lead and were poised to keep it. North Little Rock’s three-point shooting made it almost impossible for the Panthers to come back. The Panthers would work in the 3rd quarter to attempt to make a run but their poor free-throw shooting would be the ultimate difference. The Panthers would shoot 45 percent from the line, while the Charging Wildcats shot 93 percent from the line. Due to this, The Panthers would suffer a 68-55 loss and are now 13-7.

The Panthers will take on the Catholic Rockets, while the Lady Panthers take on Mount St. Marys both at Panther Arena this Friday starting at 5 P.M.
