The Cabot High School Girls Basketball Team is dunking on the competition this season. With 14 wins out of 21 games, the season outlook is promising. The team has been working incredibly hard to see these results and hopes that it pays off in the state tournament.

I am so happy to see all of our hard work pay off. Last year was a bit tough considering that, even though we practiced really hard, we weren’t seeing the results that we wanted in games,” junior Carly Madar said. “This year, all of the girls on the team have been working hard and pushing each other in practice to make sure that we can compete this year.”

Athletes have been putting in extra hours to achieve winning skills.

“We practiced almost every day over the summer and have been staying in the gym hours after the school day ends to get extra shots up,” Madar said. “I am pleased with the way that this season has turned out so far.”

The pre-season games were successful and the conference games have started off pretty also.

“I definitely think that we have a good chance of going far in the state tournament. If not this year though, I have a lot of hope for next season,“ Madar added.
