The CHS Life Savers Club hosted a Walk Out of the Darkness event on Saturday, April 9th. The walk was sponsored through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the president of CHS’s chapter Kate Shannon and the vice president Kathryn Bland spoke at the event, they were followed by Sergeant Hines who officially kicked off the walk. Donations were collected for AFSP and will be used to distribute more educational material throughout America’s school systems in an effort to curb suicide rates in high schoolers.
