Homecoming Hype

Mickel Bailey and Cayla Garicia, Student Life Reporter and Sports Reporter

With Homecoming just over the horizon on Oct. 14th, students will want to live out their ideal dream dance, and with the theme being “Under The Sea”, the dream dance can become one from a fairytale.

From the stylish and slick tuxedos to the fluffy and fairy-like dresses, the Homecoming dance can become a ball, and with the sea being a part of the theme, there could be a whole lot of flashy green and blue.

“I’m going to go for something more like a navy blue one-strap slit that goes down,” said Sophomore Emma Dunn. “It’s going to have sparkles to match undersea treasure.”

The pep assembly will be held at the football field during the 5th period at 12:40 P.M. Following the assembly will be the parade at 3:30 P.M and then the football game, a catfight between the Cabot Panthers and the Central Tigers, at 7 P.M.

Before the Homecoming Game, there will be a parade. Students of Cabot High School will be released at 2 P.M to prepare for this thrilling event. Students can go home and get dressed in their stellar attire for the thrilling night ahead of them.

The parade will take place on Highway 89 and it will end at the intersection of Highway 89 and Pond Street. Anyone can partake in the parade as long as they have a license and fill out a registration sheet on the CHS website and meet the requirements.

Ambassadors are preparing for a long eventful day coming up just around the corner. Ambassadors are shopping and trying to find the perfect outfit for Homecoming, as well as preparing for the parade.

The Ambassadors will participate in the Homecoming Parade. Ambassadors will dress up in their stunning attire and be the best they can be.

“I look forward to representing the art club,” senior Alexis Reedy said. “I’ve been preparing by utilizing my art skills to create a unique sign for the parade for me and my parade partner, KatieLynn.”

The CHS Ambassadors will attend the Homecoming Game as well as attend the Homecoming Dance.

Homecoming Royalty is working hard while preparing for homecoming. Homecoming Court members are thrilled to be participating in this event.

Annika Franovich is a junior who is honored to be a part of the homecoming court.

“I am beyond honored to represent the class of 24’ this year for Homecoming,” junior Annika Franovich said. “The students at Cabot High School are some of the most amazing people I have ever met and I have made so many long-lasting friendships.”

After the game, the dance will be held in the cafeteria. The dance will start and end from 10 P.M to midnight. The tickets will be sold before and during the dance at the front office for $5. They are also going to be sold online.

Homecoming Royalty will take part in the homecoming parade, game, and Homecoming Dance right after the game.
