As the season slowly starts to change from the warm, humid Summer to Autumn with its cool and crisp air, the Cabot High School Swim Team is working hard to prepare for the season that is just around the corner.

“I was out of swim for a while and I am still catching up, so my main goal this season is to get my times back to where they used to be and eventually, beat them,” sophomore Brianna Mahoney said.

Cabot is preparing for the season by swimming four days a week and weightlifting once a week. The swim team has currently been working on technique, sprints, and endurance.

The Cabot High School Swim Team practices during the seventh period from 2:30 P.M to 3:15 P.M.

“I feel like this season will not only be well for me but also, for other swimmers,” junior Juliyana Fear said. “We have been working so hard during practices and helping each other with technique and getting to know one another so we have a closer bond.”

Cabot will be going up against Conway at the UCA Hyper Center on November 3rd, 2022. The meet will start at 5:00 P.M. The meet will begin with a diving competition. It will then transition into relays and slowly drift into individual events. To finish the meet off there will be a 400 free relay.
