CHS hosted a health expo for students to learn how important it is about their own personal health.
Students, staff, and guests were visiting the campus to help promote different aspects of being healthy.
Nurses from UAMS, police officers, marines, fire fighters, students and staff, all attended the health expo to help spread information about better health.
Senior JoAnna Heath and junior Jasmine Henrickson said, “Most of these booths are career focused classes.”
Heath and Henrickson are both in Advanced Nutrition and Dietetics class. That class specifically focuses on helping people with applying food to better people’s health.
Near the library was a large blow up brain. Students could walk through and explore the different parts of the brain and how it works.
“This whole brain thing, today we are focused on strokes, what to recognize, and what to help, and also how to treat two different strokes,” licensed practical nurse Brittany Taunton said.
