The school year is coming to an end, and much has happened in the little time left in the school year. Here are some closing moments to the 2023-2024 school year.
CBI students had an exciting graduation ceremony on May 10 in the Media Center. The following seniors graduated: Andrew Allen, Lauren Bensen, Connor Downey, Jasmine Hobbs, Ronald Terry, Austin Watts, and Tyler Wilmot.
On May 11, many students were recognized for acceptance into the AR Governor’s School. Students were nominated by Melissa Elliot and went through an extensive application process, writing many essays.
The following juniors were: Noah Brown, Zane Caldwell, Kyle Chamness, Shelbi Cox, Ethan David, Patrick Esau, Payton Flynn, Brooklyn Franke, Cooper Gary, Mariska Haddock, Mairead Haslip, Liam Lemaire, Addison Reddick, Madison Rivera, Jacob Turner, Bethany Waller, Bailey Yarberry, and Mary Youngblood.
The sophomore and junior Celebration of Excellence Award Ceremony was held on May 14. Students attending passed their classes with all A’s and B’s in this year and the previous year.
Seniors gave out their Life Impact Awards on May 16, to honor a teacher who greatly impacted their lives.
CBI Olympics was held on May 17, this event was a full day of fun competitive activities. The students who participated in this event were: Elizabeth Wenrick, Zoe Shelton, Victoria Atkinson, Isaiah Williams, Ethan Adames, Sebastian Nutt, and Piper Anderson.
Graduation was held in the Panther Arena on May 18. This was the second year that Graduation was held on campus since 2017. The event was split into three ceremonies to accommodate for 763 graduating students.
The school year ends May 24. Congratulations to those who excelled in their respective academics and extracurriculars.
