The Five Night at Fridays premiered on October 26, 2023 at the Cabot VIP Cinema. Fans all around the world have been waiting for this movie since the very first game came out in 2014. Mainstream youtubers like Markiplier, Jacksepticeye, MattPat, ect. played the indie horror game, Five Nights at Freddys when it first was released and helped make the game important to fans all over the world.
“I remember in second grade playing FNAF 2, the game. There was this one kid, I can’t remember his name, but I remember he showed me like Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, and at the time they were really big into playing FNAF,” senior Jacob Johnston said.
Some fans were skeptical about how the movie would be represented with Blumhlouse being the main producer.
“They’re supposed to have the golden dude or whatever, Springtap, so I wonder how they are going to portray that since it’s a pg-12 movie,” junior Finn Hanle said.
“I’m hoping for an 80 lore 20 twist,” Johnston said. “I think the lore is really good and I also want to give room for creators themselves to go their own route. I want to see what they want to do with it.”
Fans were surprised with the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie and also were thankful that the movie, to an extent, followed the lore of the games.
“I think the producers did a pretty good job representing the movie,” junior Aiden Gagnon said. “My only complaint is that there wasn’t as much gore as there should’ve been and some scenes were really corny and weren’t really focusing on the horror part of the movie.”
The production of the second Five Nights at Freddy’s movie has been confirmed. FNAF fans are looking forward to how the second movie will go and how it will tie into the first movie. The release date is estimated to be in 2025.
