The Powder Puff Tournament was on Sunday, September 30, and with all six teams it wouldn’t be hard to say these girls are some hard hitters. Powderpuff has been a Cabot High School tradition for a few years now. “Sports medicine started Powderpuff like 5 years ago, it was actually the idea of one of our students who was in the club,” Sports Medicine Club sponsor Hollie Rush said. “ We were looking for ideas for a fundraiser and they suggested the idea for a Powderpuff tournament.”

Sophomore Landon Coopers team, The Babe Runners, lost the tournament but they were happy to play. This was Cooper’s first year of doing Powderpuff. “As long as long as it keeps on going, I’ll be a coach,” Cooper said.

Sunday’s winning team was Straight off the Couch. The coaches were Will Fry, Blake Coats, and Landon Meek. The team consisted of   Maggie Cyr, Hannah Dolan, Paige Siegler, Kelsie Taylor, Delaney Ringgold, Brooke Leonard, Kaitlyn Theobald, Jessica Bongfeldt, and Molly Madar. The team went for the gold and grabbed it successfully with a final score of 34-12 against the Royal Knights.
