The highly anticipated season 3 of One Punch Man anime has arrived. With it comes many worries from fans with a lackluster performance. Is it really as bad as the meme culture and every Reddit post claims?
The first episode started with disappointment. The entire episode is just still frames with some lip sync. Watching the episode made me question if my screen was frozen or not. Even though they had nine years to get it ready, they gave us something that your average editor for YouTube shorts can do.
Following up, the second episode was of similar quality to the first. More still frames, more poor lip syncing. At the end, we were teased with actual movement and a fight scene to be continued in the next episode. Hopefully, it will revamp like the first trailer for the Sonic movie. As for now, only time will tell if it will improve.
I rate the start of the new season a 4/10 on the “Collins Watchability Meter.” While it is bad animation-wise, the story behind it allows it to be somewhat enjoyable. I would not recommend this to many.
